Job Description

2nd Line Support Engineer - Contract - Immediate Start - 3 months

My customer requires an experienced Deskside Support / 2nd line support engineer to work for a professional services company to provide technical and deskside BAU support for their Office near Warrington.

Supporting a team of up to 800 people onsite and remotely. This would be a customer facing position where the Deskside Support / 2nd line support would be the sole technician responsible for the day-to-day support of the end-users.

Please note this 2nd Line Support Engineer role will require the Engineer to be on-site 2 days per week

Ideally, the 2nd Line Support Engineer will have experience in the following areas:

  • Previous experience in 2nd Line Support Engineer / Deskside Support Engineer role
  • Citrix experience essential
  • Windows 10 - Administration and Support
  • Office 365 - Administration and Support
  • Active Directory experience
  • Support of Mobile / iPad devices
  • ITIL process would be an advantage
  • Ensure logged jobs are reviewed- knowing also when to escalate to provide the highest level of service
  • Fast troubleshooting with customer / end user focus is imperative
  • Previous experience working with call logging and ticketing systems
  • Following change management processes
  • Maintain backup tapes, including weekly checks, updating tapes and sending tapes to offshore facilities
  • Any knowledge in Security policies would be useful
