£35 - £45K plus Sales Based Bonus

I am working with a CRM Software Specialising in Construction Software, they have engaged me to locate them an Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with a portfolio of Tier One and Tier Two Construction clients. The Account Manager's role will be to develop new business from existing clients through actively seeking, managing and closing new opportunities.

Account Manager Specification:

  • You will serve as the main point of contact for all customer account management matters.
  • You will understand, through focused analysis and account planning, the potential growth with each account and priorities accordingly.
  • You will utilize value-based approaches to generate new sales through upselling and cross-selling additional products and services in order to hit sales targets.
  • You will build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • You will develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • You will negotiate contracts and close agreements on the right commercial terms.
  • You will maintain an accurate sales forecast and track key account metrics
  • You will maintain accurate customer information in the company CRM system
  • You will prepare reports on account status, providing regular updates to senior management
  • You will assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • You will create accounts plans and customer success presentation
  • You will suggest internal initiatives and drive forward
  • Participate in strategy discussions
  • Suggest improvements and initiatives where necessary
  • Account Management experience, carrying and exceeding sales quota
  • Demonstrable background in managing large tier 1 and 2 accounts
  • Relationship development skills at multiple levels within a client organisation
  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel, MS Word and MS Powerpoint)
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Formal sales training such as Solution Selling or Miller-Heiman a plus
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Experience working in the IT and/or construction sector
