I am currently working with a great Financial Services organisation based in Cardiff who are looking for Business Analysts as they undertake an exciting recruitment drive. The team is supporting the technical delivery of a large-scale digital transformation. Working in an Agile environment, they are building cutting edge cloud-based web solutions for real-time financial services delivered through cross platform solutions.

The new digital estate is enforced by the latest cyber security policies and technology tools, as well as the best web services and secure cloud delivery models available. They are therefore looking for individuals with drive, enthusiasm and the right knowledge to join the company. This role is based within a 2-minute walk from Cardiff train station and is accessible with ease from across the South Wales and South West area.

You will work directly with the project teams and the business.

Business Analyst Specification:

  • Act as a liaison point and subject matter expert between the business and IT.
  • Act as a change manager and change Business Analyst
  • Requirements gathering experience.
  • Experience across multiple methodologies - Agile, Waterfall, Kanban etc.
  • Experience creating documentation.
  • Experience managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Facilitate workshops & capture requirements, define processes, agree user stories and scope.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal/external customers to analyse functional requirements.
  • Identify non-functional needs such as usability, performance, security and service levels.
  • Actively participate in daily stand up meetings, pre iteration sessions, iteration planning, showcases/demos and retrospectives.
  • Assist with the maintenance and prioritisation of the product backlog, ensuring cross-team dependencies are identified and managed in order to meet product deliverables.
  • Ensure all solutions implemented meet internal quality standards and include robust controls to mitigate any associated risks.
  • Identify and manage risks & issues through to resolution, ensuring all affected/interested parties are aware, escalating if necessary.
  • Identify and remove obstacles that will keep the team from achieving their goals.
  • Ensure any change is managed effectively and communicated to all parties concerned.
  • Establish and maintain reference material to ensure knowledge is shared and managed effectively both internally and externally. This could be through a variety of mechanisms such as documents, diagrams, slide decks, videos etc.
