Job Description:

A unique opportunity to work on the Statistical Production Platform. These roles will be primarily responsible for understanding business needs and working together with the development team to ensure we develop software that meets the user needs.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for experienced Business Analysts who have a strong understanding of what is expected of the role and the tools and techniques.

Experience in the following domains:
* Service Design
* Requirements Elicitation
* Process Design
* Software Development Lifecycle

Responsibilities:

The role aligns to the Digital, Data and Technology Profession Capability Framework at "Senior Business Analyst" level (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/business-analyst--2#senior-business-analyst)

Typical activities may include;
* Elicit and interpret business requirements from business departments and end users.
* Analyse complex information from multiple sources to develop clear conclusions and recommendations.
* Understand complex data landscapes, working with SMEs to identify candidate transformations.
* Produce clear and concise materials, backed by strong reasoning and robust methodologies
* Experienced in building use case diagrams, BPMN process diagrams, wireframes, sequence diagrams
* Exposure to writing test cases and the TDD/BDD approaches to developing software
* Conduct detailed gap analysis and produce evidence-based findings.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders using a variety of methods, including verbal, written and presentation.
* Provide challenging and detailed input into technology options appraisals and product assessment.
* Identify and promote key business and technology benefits of technical solutions and opportunities.
* Mentor others.

Relevant Skills and Experience:

Essential
