DBS before starting
Remote (anywhere within the UK)
SEO - £25-£27 per hour, 37 hours a week
Contractor post, Inside IR35, Umbrella or LTD for pay
Overall take home pay estimate = £2500/£2700 per month

Organisational Context

As Business Analyst you will be involved in business process re-engineering and requirements gathering activities across various enabling functions including Programme/Project Delivery, Human Resources, Finance and Commercial; ensuring they have well-documented, robust business processes that are aligned to governments global design principles and functional standards which support the organisations drive to develop a sustainable and efficient business mode

TYPICAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities


· Lead and manage investigations into business processes, information systems, functions, information flows, data structures and software development processes, using various technical, methodical, and consistent techniques.

· Process modelling - employ a range of tools and techniques to map 'As-is' and 'To-Be' business processes

· Review existing system capabilities, develop use cases and information models, and align business requirements to specific capabilities of system development, including working with developers to ensure that user needs are met.

· Define improvements to business processes, contributing to the development of business cases to enable decisions to be made based on the benefits of alignment to pre- defined design principals where appropriate.

· Lead, understand and communicate the project scope and work to assure the overall goal is maintained in creation of the product backlog

· Work in conjunction with project team to ensure that tasks associated with project improvement are accurately captured in project planning, tested and implemented.

· Lead in providing solutions to real business problems through influence, facilitation and communication and ensuring the end-to-end process is considered.

· Shape and challenge business priorities and ways of working through collaboration with business and technology teams and in conjunction with agreed design principal.

· Elicit functional and non-functional requirements using appropriate techniques, validate with business users and key stakeholder groups, and document in clear and concise fashion.

· Gap Analysis - Evaluate requirements against the present state (where we are) and the target state (where we want to be) identify opportunities to develop successful business requirements needed to make the transition

· Deliver at pace using project delivery principals & methodologies.

· Develop suitable analysis models using appropriate modelling techniques, considering traceability, adherence to business objectives and fitness for purpose.

· Work with business and solution architects to ensure that the wider architecture considered when undertaking analysis work.

· Assist decision makers in gathering information to make informed decisions.

· Promote a culture of assurance and security.
