Data Analyst (R Coding analysis)

  • Security Clearance required SC Clearance (must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years)
  • Remote/Newport/titchfield
  • £25/£27 per hour, 37 hours a week
  • Contractor role, Inside IR35, LTD Company or Umbrella for pay
  • Take home pay per month: £2500/£2700 (after all tax deductions)
  • Duration of engagement 6 months

This role involves being responsible for regular briefings as well as any ad-hoc briefings, which often need to be completed on a short timeframe. You will need to lead your direct reports effectively and support their BAU tasks and personal development. The role will require you to build good working relationships with teams across CIS Analysis, and build a good understanding of the CIS, its design, and its outputs. Being able to work at pace, considering prioritisation and delegation, is crucial for this role.

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for ensuring regular briefings are delivered on time and to a consistently high standard
* Able to respond rapidly and coordinate team to deliver effectively when an ad-hoc briefing is requested or during other at-pace projects
* Manage and engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to provide regular updates on products, analyses, and planned outputs
* Lead and support Research Officers in production of briefings and completion of other work and developments
* Feed into and support development work within the team, proactively seeking and making improvements
* Adapting you and your team's workload in response to changing demands and deadlines


* Comfortable with and enjoys working at pace and dealing with changing priorities and plans on a daily basis
* Strong communicator who is organised and structured to ensure delivery is as smooth as possible.
* The ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people both orally and in writing
* Sound analytical skills and good judgement to inform their decisions or when providing opinions or advice to others
* Experience of leading a team to deliver high impact projects with competing deadlines and at pace
* Ability to coordinate the development of multiple pieces of work to deliver the best outcomes for users
* Able to quickly build collaborative relationships with the team, wider division, and our academic partners.
