Data Analyst
- Must be eligible for SC Clearance, or ideally have active SC
- Fully remote working anywhere in the UK
- SEO - £25 to £27.54 per hour Inside IR35
- Contractor role - LTD or Umbrella for pay
- Take home after all deductions: £2800/£2900
- Duration: Until 31/03/22 initially
- Google Analytics and SQL experience is a must - Experience analysing a variety of digital data resources, such as Google Analytics, Google Search console & weblogs
- Strong Big Query and SQL experience is also required
You will establish reporting and monitoring mechanisms to measure and evaluate the performance of search engines and the impact of on-going search engine optimisation work.
You will be working with a variety of data sources & tools including Google BigQuery, Google Analytics UA & GA4, Google Search console, Google Data Studio, keyword & backlink data, Cloud Crawling data and weblogs
Key Responsibilities
- establish search engine optimisation reporting and monitoring, combining data from a variety of sources
- develop a measurement framework for search engine optimisation and create a roadmap of work to establish the measures
- produce regular reports and build dashboards, automating where appropriate, keeping stakeholders informed about search engine performance
- analyse search & analytics data to provide insight into users search behaviour
- conduct deep dive analysis into key topics
- evaluate & monitor the impact of improvements made to the site and their impact on SEO
- support business areas, content design teams & central evaluation team with ad hoc data requests relating to search engine performance
Essential
- Experience analysing a variety of digital data sources, such as Google Analytics, Google Search console & weblogs
- Experience analysing data using a variety of SEO tools such as AHrefs, SearchMetrics, DragonMetrics, OnCrawl, DeepCrawl etc
- Strong BigQuery / SQL experience
- Experience of analysing large numbers of keywords and monitoring changes in their performance
- Experience or strong interest in UK geography in relation to search
- Experience building dashboards and reports using tools such as Data Studio
Desirable
- Experience of using API connectors to pull data from different sources into other datastores, such as BigQuery
- Ability to produce high quality, accurate data and insights from large datasets using Google BigQuery (SQL) or similar
- Experience communicating analysis and insight to a wide audience including nontechnical stakeholders
- Experience setting up performance measurement frameworks
- Experience using Excel and Google Sheets, with knowledge of advance functions
- Data analysis & visualisation skills, such as R or Python
