Job description

This is initially a 3-month temporary contract role with an asap starting date for suitably skilled business analyst to provide central support on the development of the RDMF and the underlying indices. The role will involve:

  • Understanding the data and processes for each index, building models to test innovative solutions
  • Work alongside and learn from other data architects, developers and data engineers to come up with most appropriate tools to address current issues with the development of each index and RDMF
  • Present the data and your ideas to the rest of the team, work alongside the team on the test cases and implementations

Key Responsibilities

  • Your research will inform the content and the shape of the framework in this and next iterations of the RDMF
  • Ensure that the RDMF is well suited to aligned to answer government policy questions
  • Ensure that the strategic vision for the project reflects user needs
  • Research into the design of the interface which suit user needs
  • Analysis of the stakeholders and user groups

Essential

  • Expert in applied maths, statistics and scientific practices - Has knowledge and experience in the application of this skill. Is a recognised specialist and advisor in this skill including user needs, generation of ideas, methods, tools and leading or guiding others in best practice use.
  • Expert in Data Engineering and manipulation - Has knowledge and experience in the application of this skill. Is a recognised specialist and advisor in this skill including user needs, generation of ideas, methods, tools and leading or guiding others in best practice use.
  • Expert in data science innovation: Has knowledge and experience in the application of this skill. Is a recognised specialist and advisor in this skill including user needs, generation of ideas, methods, tools and leading or guiding others in best practice use.
  • Practitioner in Data Science capability: Shares knowledge and experience of the skill with others, including tools and techniques, defining those most appropriate for the environment.
  • Domain Expertise: Shares knowledge and experience of the skill with others, including tools and techniques, defining those most appropriate for the environment.
  • Practitioner of programming and build (Data Science): Shares knowledge and experience of the skill with others, including tools and techniques, defining those most appropriate for the environment.
  • Expert in the understanding analysis across the life cycle (data science): Has knowledge and experience in the application of this skill.
