Do you have experience of database management within an Azure environment?
Our critical public service client is currently in the midst of an organisation wide Digital Transformation Programme, moving into a band new Greenfield environment. They are looking for a keen Database Administrator to join the team in managing and building and maintaining the organisations databases in Oracle 19c and SQL Server.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- In depth knowledge of Oracle, including Oracle 19c, and SQL Server database technologies - cloud-based data storage is advantageous
- Knowledge of logical and physical data modelling concepts
- Knowledge of ETL techniques and processing
- Experience of supporting Oracle Multitenant on a Windows 2019 O/S and visual platform
- Hands on experience of development and maintenance including updates and migrations of operational databases
- A detailed understanding of the DBA Role, bringing knowledge of the technologies and tools to be able to manage, monitor and maintain database systems
- Previous experience of policing data
The Role:
To work within a digital team, working to improve both the robustness and access of the organisation's data and digital systems
To develop and maintain data storage capabilities, managing access and performance of the database across the technology stack
Work with the managed service partner to ensure fit for service purpose is delivered
Controlling and monitoring user access to the database, including implementing, maintaining, and monitoring audit and other security related controls
Capacity management for current and future demand
Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards
