Job Description:
Delivery Manager. Central Government
Location: Remote/ Hybrid (South West)
Duration - 6 months initially
Rate IR35: £600-£650 per a day.
Security Clearance needed
We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to lead agile software delivery teams and ensure the successful delivery of digital products and services.
You will manage one or more multidisciplinary teams, removing barriers, maintaining delivery momentum and ensuring work is delivered safely, securely and iteratively with regular user feedback. You will also play a key role in embedding and improving agile ways of working and strengthening software delivery capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery teams to deliver products and services to time, cost and quality
- Manage risks, budgets, people and resources effectively
- Own the delivery of assigned products, projects and programmes
- Oversee day-to-day delivery activity
- Manage third-party integrations end to end
- Build and maintain high-performing, motivated teams
- Champion agile delivery methods, coaching teams and promoting continuous improvement
Essential Skills
- GDS & Public Sector Experience
- Strong understanding of digital delivery, open-source technologies and continuous deployment
- Proven experience delivering projects and products using agile methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex environments
- Ability to balance competing priorities and make effective decisions
