DevOps Engineer (Azure)
6 Months contract (possible extension)
£400-£500 per day (Outside)
Remote working

What we need from you:
Have a good understanding of Azure and other cloud software's to provide a range of support solutions
Build with automation and then support Virtual Machines (Windows IIS, Linux, SQL Server) and other Azure technologies such as Azure Kubernetes Server, Azure Application Gateway and Azure Web Apps
Have a good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server in various formats including SQL Azure and SQL Server Clusters
Deliver great service by automating processes. Terraform, Octopus, Azure DevOps, Powershell, Ansible and Salt are the typical tools we use daily
Understands the types of information needed in production incidents and how to ensure the team is fully briefed on anything you are working on
Own documentation processes and the process of problem resolutions. Actively spot knowledge silos and encourage an open culture by helping infrastructure and groups share ideas and knowledge
Work with Developer Teams to improve the service and platform provided. Recognise that if an internal or external customer needs to ask for something to be done there might be an opportunity to automate
Lead on incidents to troubleshoot causes quickly. When on call you can successfully triage incidents to get to the root cause quickly
Be a guardian of security and keep it in mind when making decisions. Work to ensure that we are world class in our implementation by making security controls as seamless and hassle free as possible

Technical Qualities:
1.MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 (Expert)
2.C#.Net/ASP.Net (Good understanding)
3.CI/CD DevOps Online/TeamCity/Octopus Deploy. Puppet /Forman or other equivalent technology
4.Windows Server
5.Linux (CentOs, AIX) an advantage
6.Source control DevOps Online/GIT
7.Excellent problemsolving skills
8.Knowledge of Web/Application Server architectures
9.Diverse Web Authentication Methods
10.Security awareness - PCI / OWASP Top Ten
11.Understand POT capabilities of the business and the interaction with EA and Solutions (i.e. Quadient, Nexdox)
12.Understand underlying business systems and interactions (e.g. DigiQ, Navision, PCI environment
13.Apply a high level of accuracy and quality assurance to all work
14.Ability to work with and communicate with other stakeholders (Technical and Business) to deliver business outcomes.
