Job Description

My client in Stoke on Trent are looking for a Data Warehouse Developer who will be responsible for implementing the changes and improvements required within the ETL and data warehouse products.

You will be delivering items from large scale changes linked to business transformative programmes to minor improvements requested by a single user. You will also be liaising with other departments, ensuring high quality of work whilst always looking to improve the performance of the data warehouse to satisfy the ever changing demands of the business.

Preferred skills and experience
Commercial Ab Initio experience (this is key)
Relational set based processing through complex SQL queries.
Commercial experience working in ETL/Data Warehouse platform.
Data Warehouse dimensional modelling.
Ability to work as part of a team of highly technical developers.
Ability to work in a continually changing, reactive environment.
Committed, flexible, can do attitude towards work.
Keen attention to detail.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
Main Responsibilities
Developing of the ETL routines using Ab Initio to satisfy business requirements and DWH designs.
Being involved in the development of processes and standards of the Ab Initio ETL product.
Managing of the Kognitio database platform.
Being involved in the ongoing evolution of departmental standards and enforce the adherence to the development process.
Creating and maintaining all relevant documentation.

Salary is up to £55K + a generous benefits package.
