ERP Finance Data Migration Consultant

My Consultancy client are looking for ERP Finance Data Migration Consultant to join the Maconomy
Global ERP rollout programme as part of the EMEA and NA delivery team.

*This role is 6 months initially, up to £585 per day (Inside IR35) and will be 3 days a week onsite in central London*

The Maconomy Core Programme has been running for over 8 years and has developed a core template solution
which has been implemented in 20 countries covering approx. 25,000 users.

The ERP Finance Data Migration Consultant will sit within the Maconomy Data Migration Team and provide
expert Maconomy/ERP and finance and accounting knowledge and lead all activities associated with the
migration of data from legacy systems to a centralised global ERP solution.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ERP implementation projects with a focus on data
migration. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and accurate transfer of financial data and their
associate master data from legacy systems to the new ERP platform. This role requires strong analytical skills,
deep knowledge of finance processes, and proficiency in data migration tools and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
 Operate at a senior level in collaboration with global programme, stakeholder, partner, and key
project and business personnel to ensure the successful implementation of Maconomy Core in
the EMEA and NA region.
 Work with Design and Functional Leads to understand the Tax, Legal and Statutory (TLS)
business requirements, proposed ERP solution and their implications for data migration and
ensure they are accounted for in the data migration strategy and solution.
 Take ownership of ensuring all data migration activities (legacy data analysis, mapping, ETL
development, cleansing, validation, and transfer) are carried out to best practice, global
template, high standards and on time.
 Work closely and guide the WPP Shared Service Centre (SSC) Master Data Management
Teams and the Operating Companies’ Data Leads to ensure they have understood the
Maconomy data model, migration strategy and upload templates; this includes data definitions,
relationships, and constraints and the data cleansing requirements.
 Track the data cleansing to ensure quality targets are being met.
 Oversee the management/development of migration dress rehearsals, data migration cutover
plan and post go-live support for any data issues.
 Working in conjunction with partner/SI Technical Data Team Lead to agree most effective and
efficient tooling to be used for the data migration processes and recognizing long-term
requirements.
 Maintain the Data Dictionary, Mapping Document and Code Translation Document and review
regularly.
 Create and update all technical, data and design documentation as required

Skill Requirements

 Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related fields. Advanced
degree or professional accounting qualification preferred (ACCA, ACA, CA etc qualified)
 Minimum of 15 years of experience in ERP system implementation projects such as SAP,
Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics (Maconomy preferable) working as an ERP Functional
Consultant/ERP Finance Lead/ERP Implementation Lead/similar role with a good
understanding of ERP data models and migration strategies
 Strong understanding of finance processes, including general ledger, accounts
payable/receivable, financial reporting, and budgeting
 Good understanding of data migration tools and technologies, such as SAP Data Services,
Informatica, or similar ETL tools and experience with data cleansing, validation, and
transformation techniques
 Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL queries
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with
cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
 Comfortable talking about technical issues with businesspeople and business issues with
technical people and able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader
audiences.
 Demonstrated leadership and self-direction with a passion for solution building and initiative for
getting involved.
 Demonstrable experience of operating in complex, multi business, language, and geographic
environments with professional services/advertising business domain/industry knowledge
 Ability to operate both as manager and strategic thinker and who is hands on in approach.
