Facility Administration Assistant

  • £9 to £12 per hour, 4-month contract initially

SERVICE REQUIREMENT


Are you a well organised individual with the ability to prioritise your workload in line with changing priorities and deadlines? If so this could the role for you.

The Self Help Facility Team manage the Self Help Facility (SHF) which is an electronic service that will be used by approximately 40,000 Field Staff. This will enable them to answer questions and provide support with resolving issues and requests. In addition, the SHF will be used by our Field Staff Support Contact Centre (FSSCC) Agents, to input content and use as reference when answering queries.

As a Self Help Assistant you will support various teams in preparing content to be uploaded onto the Self Help Facility. This will include general administrative support and will require the ability to use initiative and handle multiple priorities at a time.


TYPICAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Self Help Facility Team manage the Self Help Facility (SHF) which is an electronic service that will be used by approximately 40,000 Field Staff. This will enable them to answer questions and provide support with resolving issues and requests. In addition, the SHF will be used by our Field Staff Support Contact Centre (FSSCC) Agents, to input content and use as reference when answering queries.
  • As a Self Help Assistant you will support the various Census teams in preparing content to be uploaded onto the Self Help Facility. This will include general administrative support and will require the ability to use initiative and handle multiple priorities at a time.
  • Manage professional relationships with other Census teams and external suppliers, to produce articles and instructions for the SHF;
  • Optimise SHF content coming in from subject matter experts;
  • Act as champion for Contact Centre Agents using the SHF Content Management System;
  • Assist with the production of statistics and reports;
  • General administrative support.

Essential criteria:

  • Experienced in providing and creating training materials;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form close working relationships with colleagues at all levels;
  • Good communication skills both verbally and in writing;
  • Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to manage conflicting demands, keeping focus and swiftly reprioritising so that sudden changes do not adversely impact on your delivery;
  • Excellent MS Office skills, including strong proficiency in the use of Outlook, plus other collaborative tools.

Desirable criteria:

  • Knowledge of Agile Project delivery
