Senior Reward Business Partner
Start: 14th Feb 2022
Finish: 5th July 2022 (possible extension)
£577 per day. Inside IR35
Remote role - UK based
As an experienced senior reward professional, you will be the reward subject matter expert working with the Senior Leadership Team to provide strategic reward expertise to the business. You will lead reward projects by designing and leading delivery of new reward and benefit programmes, using processes based on expertise and market knowledge. You will form senior level relationships and work very closely with the strategic planning function, along with external partners such as our parent department BEIS.
Responsibilities

  • As the reward specialist for the Met Office you will deliver the annual pay strategy for the MO including writing business cases and board-level recommendations; combined with external engagement with central government
  • This post will assess and benchmark existing and proposed structures as appropriate in line with best practice and provide continuous improvements. Recommendations based on market insights provided to various stakeholder groups.
  • Strategically review the effectiveness of existing reward programmes by engaging with senior stakeholders; making recommendations for change as appropriate.
  • Develop and lead delivery of agreed reward structures that encourage appropriate behaviours and support the wider business strategy.
  • Job Evaluation lead for the people function.
  • Develop and present analytics on remuneration including performance, total salary spends growth, scheme performance vs affordability. Develop the data to present to the business e.g. via reporting dashboards, that support remuneration strategy reviews
  • Working closely with the People directorate Senior Leadership team to support the people strategy for all reward-related activities.
  • Adhoc support to Reward projects & tasks. (gender pay/total reward statements).
  • Work closely with the Pay team


What we are looking for?

  • Chartered CIPD Qualified or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrable expertise in strategic Reward & Recognition development, with an understanding of wider HR functions
  • Experience in designing and implementing effective bonus and pay programmes, ideally in a scientific/technical setting.
  • Good knowledge of total reward packages.
  • The ability to engage and influence stakeholders up to senior level, including strong drafting and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and, numerical skills with the ability to strategically analyse and evaluate data.
