Incident Manager - IT Managed Services, ITIL - Remote - £350-£400 p/day Outside IR35 - 6 months rolling

I am looking for an Incident Manager for a leading, fast pace IT Services and Solutions provider. This position will fit into their Manages Service arm, and we are looking for somebody highly motivated and experienced within incident management who is comfortable liaising with customers and top-level management with good reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the response to incident reports, ensuring relevant prioritisation and detail to allow for effective investigation
  • Lead, facilitate and chair all investigation activities, meetings, and conference calls
  • Form collaborative action plans with internal and external stakeholders with specific actions, roles, and deadlines
  • Manage technical resources through to resolution
  • Create incident logs to track issues and ensure resolution
  • Create known error records and appropriate workaround and potential solutions
  • Perform post review of incidents to ensure that the scale of issues is fully understood and that any associated trends are monitored and continually reviewed to help prevent or minimize similar problems from arising
  • Ensure all administration and reports are maintained including post major incident reviews;
  • Support and guidance for conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with the Problem and Escalation Manager
  • Support and assist the Change Manager
  • Support the Problem and Escalation Manager with maintaining and developing tools and resources to manage major incidents effectively
  • Create and maintain training materials on the incident management process
  • Support with the production of process improvements and knowledge base improvements in line with ITIL best practice
