Job Description

Information Technology Security Officer

Contract - 6months (outside IR35)

So you are seeking an exceptional opportunity with a highly complex challenge?

As our client embarks upon a £40m publicly significant transformation programme they need you to set the foundations for security as a standard.

As the IT Security Consultant you will evaluate and develop best in class security policies and procedures both internally and with 3rd party suppliers. You will review and update the business continuity plan, disaster recovery procedure and support the business with general security advice ensuring employees and managers across the organisation understand their information security responsibilities.

This is not a simple challenge; you will need to be resilient, able to handle complexity and ambiguity, consulting a department at the centre of both change and operations, working with committed professionals and supporting staff.

About you

You're a natural advisory to senior stakeholders and therefore security consulting on a high availability infrastructure supporting 6000+ publicly critical users sings to your sense of purpose.

A demonstrable track record as an IT Security Officer ideally with CISM or CISMP qualification is a given, public sector experience is a bonus, not a clincher.
