As part of the DBA team, the Junior SQL DBA will contribute to the success of my client by providing effective, innovative, and high: quality IT systems and services that support and enable the whole business and its many functions. With the Junior SQL DBA position being such a key role in supporting other departments, you'll be an excellent communicator. You'll be a fantastic problem solver, that can manage your time well and take ownership on tasks.
What you'll be doing:
: Complete system support issues and problems working to the ITIL framework
: Taking ownership for the systems support activities ensuring the team is meeting support deadlines
: Weekly reporting on system support activities
: Process data through our SQL systems and reporting systems
: Carry out regular DBA tasks and help maintain the performance of our data warehouse.
: Document work and share knowledge within the development team.
: Test software and support new deployments
: Evaluate and improve existing software solutions and processes
: Experience with: SQL Server versions 2008 onwards, T: SQL, and ITIL v4.
: Clear communication skills both written and verbal
: Good time management
: Experience doing backups and restores
: Previous relevant industry experience
: Self: motivated and willing to take ownership of tasks through to completion
