My client is looking for a Lead Business Analyst/Head of Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities
* Definition of working practices/process, tooling and techniques for CM through the change lifecycle with principal focus on:
o requirements gathering
o enabling the design phase
o supporting the delivery and implementation
* Co-operate with CM A&D Lead and Principal Architect to ensure high quality, consistent design process befitting the product is supported by the BA practice
* Co-operate with PMO and PDs on resource planning, allocation and forecasting for CM programme deliverables
* Contribute to the definition and implementation of internal standards, processes and strategies needed to design solutions to the required quality with consideration for associated design principles (e.g., sustainability, scalability, security, functional richness etc..)
* Regular internal and external reporting against deliverables
* Mentoring and supporting the personal development of B.A. staff
* Continue to evolve the B.A. practice proposition and R&R for B.A. staff at all levels
* Work with other B.A. leaders in company to share best practice learnings
* Support the growth and recruitment process for new hires (job definition, interview, induction)
* Direct interaction with Client/Partner B.A.s and BA Lead(s) to support the joint deliverables/all of the above as a single unit, identifying and understanding where most pragmatic and appropriate skills/knowledge can be used.
* Act as a source of expertise for UK L&P market (desirable)
Key Skills & Experience
* 8-10 years experience as a Business Analyst or previous exposure to leading B.A. teams on large multi-stream software delivery programmes
* Able to work in a collaborative and energetic environment with multiple technologies and business disciplines
* Able to scope, prioritise and agree client business requirements and consequently oversee the definition and implementation of associated solutions
* Comfortable acting as a leader with capability to influence and engage team members and senior management.
* Excellent client facing skills, able to operate at multiple levels of seniority
* Competent in software and project estimating and estimation techniques.
* Exposure to Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies
* Experience working in the Life & Pensions industry - desirable
