About Us: Our Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) team is at the forefront of transforming and supporting all of the force’s digital technology needs. Within the Strategy and Transformation team, we ensure that DDaT understands current and future requirements, the technology marketplace, and identifies opportunities to benefit the force.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the overall technical architecture solution for the force, ensuring adherence to agreed standards, design principles, and architecture methodology.

Translate organisational requirements into technical detailed designs and solutions.

Hands-on development or software engineering role with line management responsibilities for a team of developers.

Exploit new technology opportunities across the force, ensuring better integration and improved data access.

Identify areas of opportunity for new software solutions or interfaces to drive data-driven policing initiatives.

Design, build, test, and implement solutions in a continuous and iterative development cycle.

Integrate core platforms such as Niche RMS, SharePoint, and M365 to enhance system functionality and efficiency.

Liaise closely with stakeholders to understand system constraints and align new solutions with national improvement initiatives.
