Talent International are working closely with a technology business in Greater Manchester to recruit a Principal Developer to work on a range of projects and products, including some extensive re-platforming and modernising of their current enterprise scale applications and software products.
This is not a hands on development role or a people manager role. You won't be writing any production code but you'll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, work closely with architects creating high quality software designs, proof of concept work and translating and explaining complex designs to the development team.
This is a good opportunity for a Senior Developer who is looking for a step up in a technical capacity (not people management) and to get some experience architecting software with an option to progress into an architecture role within this company in the future.
You'll be working mainly with Microsoft technologies such as C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, SQL and Azure, alongside some additional technologies such as WebAPI, React and AWS. You will need to have commercial AWS experience to be considered for this role. If you have a certification, that'd come in really handy, but they're an AWS partner who encourage all of their technical staff to undertake certifications, so you'd have the option to do that here too.
The team also use serverless architecture, TDD, Node.js, CI and CD using Azure DevOps, NoSQL databases and Docker so if you have experience or knowledge in any of these areas, you'd be able to hit the ground running!
At the moment the team work remotely and once restrictions ease you'll be able to work remotely and come into the office once a week (or more if you want to). To be considered you will need to be based in the UK and happy to commute to Greater Manchester at short notice if required.
You'll get a salary up to £65,000 depending on experience, with regular salary reviews, career progression, options to do certifications, a company who have corporate responsibility at the core of what they do, 25 days (plus 5 to buy or sell), private medical, pension scheme and several associated discounts.
We have interview slots confirmed for w/c 10th May so please apply now for immediate consideration. If this role looks of interest and you don't have an up to date CV, please get in touch with Chinyere at Talent for a confidential conversation before you decide whether to draft up a CV.
