Talent International is proud to be working with government client on an exciting permanent opportunity for a Project Controls Lead.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to deliver comprehensive project controls services for large, complex, and mega projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire service delivery process, ensuring successful contract outcomes in terms of time, cost, and performance parameters.

As a Project Controls Consultant your key responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage the overall success criteria for contracts, including time, cost, and performance metrics.
  • Implement effective project governance, processes, and systems throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and facilitate contributions from a cross-functional project controls team in a matrix environment.
  • Maintain the risk register, supporting the evaluation and assessment of all risk components and variations related to performance objectives.
  • Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including KPIs, to enhance project performance.
  • Manage change control processes as needed and monitor project finances.
  • Oversee the flow of project information within the project team.
  • Act as the primary day-to-day interface with the project team, ensuring client objectives are met and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Contribute to technical service delivery, supporting the development and implementation of PMO project controls services.
  • Ensure projects are managed to quality standards and completed efficiently, meeting client objectives and contractual conditions.

As a Project Controls consultant you will have the following experience;

  • A relevant technical degree and management qualifications.
  • Professional experience in project control roles for the development and/or delivery of construction projects.
  • Experience in planning & scheduling, cost management, risk management, change control, information management, and reporting within complex projects.
  • Proficiency with proprietary cost management systems such as Prism and Unifier.
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team of specialists, fostering strong training and development for junior staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
