Project Manager

Our public sector client is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join them and work across the day to day management of assigned change deliveries to deliver capability and benefit in line with the corporate plan. Within this role you will be working in a secure site so active DV clearance is required from the get go.

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Experience of establishing a project approach and organisation necessary to deliver.
• Experience of managing project lifecycle from idea to closure.
• Experience of governance and assurance.
• Experience of engaging senior stakeholders.
• Experience of maintaining strong working relationships with project team members, business side resource and third party suppliers.
• Prince2 Foundation

Desirable

• APM Qualified
• AgilePM Qualified
• Experience of delivering a project using an Agile approach and associated development behaviours and techniques eg DSDM and SCRUM.

Day to day

Day to day management of the project’s resources to ensure tasks are implemented on time, on budget and to the required scope and quality

Management of the production of the project’s products

Adherence to the Agile Delivery Governance framework and management of other governance and control processes including risk and issue management, progress reporting, change control, etc

Timely and proactive decision making to ensure the project meets its objectives. Accountable for initiating escalation where necessary

Manage dependencies internally within the project, and liaise with dependent projects

Manage resource plans and control / forecast financial spend against the budget.

Manage day to day communications with the project team and suppliers.

Conduct end-project evaluation and ensure lessons learned are integrated into the project.

Responsible for obtaining assurance that the complete solution implemented, meets all requirements and standards

Responsible for the transition of the complete solution to everyday practice
