I'm recruiting a QA Engineer to be based in Manchester City Center. It's a genuinely exciting career opportunity as the business has experienced huge growth over the past 5 years, resulting in them choosing Manchester as a location to build their tech powerhouse.
The tech team have a multi-year product development strategy which they are very passionate about. I have detail which I am happy to run through if you are interested…
Will I suit this position?
We're looking for someone legitimately passionate about testing. Someone who looks at code and thinks, "I'm going to break this!" for no other reason, but to be sure a customer doesn't once it's deployed. It's a tech focused environment, so having pride in your work will serve you well.
You'll be focused on delivery. Code quality is important, but perfect will never make it to the user, we need someone pragmatic. It's an agile environment so they're used to delivering value early and often, you should have experience of this too.
What experience do I need?
Involved in the full software development life cycle. Liaising closely with Business Analysts, Developers and other QA Engineers.
Test at feature level with the customer in mind. Experience verifying acceptance criteria, integration testing, stage testing and load testing. We want someone user orientated.
Good understanding of TDD/BDD and working with both continuous integration and continuous delivery deployment in an agile environment.
This is a unique opportunity for your career, you'll be progressed, supported and have a team collaboration from day 1.
Please note, this is not a remote position. You will be required to be in the office in Manchester 2/3 days per week.
