Field Recruitment Support Officer (AO)

SC clearance required: BPSS before starting
Hybrid working (Titchfield)
12 months

AO level- £13.26 per hour. Contract, Inside IR35.
37 hours a week
Take home pay per month £1500/£1600 approx.

Requirement:
An opportunity to work in a small Field Recruitment team, specialising in the recruitment of Social Survey Field interviewers nationwide, International Passenger Survey interviewers at UK airports and ports and Telephone interviewers working in Telephone Operations.

Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, the position holder will have the following key responsibilities within a friendly team of AO's:
* Acting as first point of contact within the recruitment team and responding promptly to all telephone and email enquiries and generally providing a quality and courteous customer service to both internal customers and members of the public.

* Using the Civil Service e-Recruitment system to monitor the progress of all Social Survey field vacancies and carrying out various other administrative tasks online.

* Setting up interviews for candidates on an internal web-based file storage system

*Using the HR database and a bespoke starters database to set up new starters for Field, International Passenger Survey and Telephone Operations Interviewers.

* Carrying out (sometimes complex) 5 year background and referencing checks for new staff working at UK airports and ports, generating automated
reference proformas, contracts of employment and letters of appointment. Maintaining recruitment spreadsheets as required.

* Maintaining strict and appropriate confidentiality in accordance with corporate and Civil Service policy in all communications throughout the recruitment and onboarding/starters processes and ensuring that diversity policy is adhered to throughout the recruitment process.

* Liaising with and maintaining an excellent working relationship with Social Survey Field and IPS Regional and Field/Site managers and Telephone Operations Managers throughout the recruitment process.

* Updating electronic field recruitment guidance and work instructions as required.

Person Specification
The work of the Field Recruitment team is varied and interesting and requires multitasking, attention to detail, close team-working and adapting to constantly shifting priorities on a daily basis.
It is essential that the post holder has:
* Excellent communication skills at all levels and evidence of building effective relationships.
* Experience of working in a customer service environment.
* Experience of using Microsoft Word, management of mailbox and basic Excel.
Core business hours are 9.00 am until 4.00 pm due to a manned recruitment line.
