Safety Manager
Our public sector client is looking for a Safety Manager to join them in developing, operation and continuous improvement of the Safety Management Plan (SMP). This involves managing the policy and procedures for the safety management of all Products, Systems and Services (PSS) that have the potential to cause direct or indirect harm to individuals, the property or the environment.
Skills and Experience
- Formal training or qualifications in Safety Management
- Previous Safety Management experience/exposure
- Previous experience developing Safety Cases
- Previous experience leading Safety Panels / Committee
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation of the Safety Management System throughout the whole business.
Develop Safety Cases for the organisation’s Products, Systems and Services.
Support the ongoing development and review of the organisation’s safety performance. This will include developing effective measures at the system, process, product, audit and corporate performance levels, that drive the right behaviours and create the conditions for improved safety performance.
Confirm changes to PSS have gone through due Safety process and governance.
Review safety policies and processes, including ensuring the required elements are understood, by the required stakeholders and provide recommendations for improvement.
Act as a focal point for safety management in the organisation
