You'll be working as part of a small remote first distributed engineering team with an office in London to work on the design and engineering of a sustainable and ethical data rich fintech product.
You'll be working on this product prior to the beta version being released so if you have experience working in a very early stage start up, who are still finding their feet and where no two days are the same or if you'd like to work in this kind of environment this could be the role for you!
Part of your role will be to plan and drive technical strategy, whilst engineering high quality software using a range of open source technologies, whilst promoting best practice around testing and Agile.
The ability to be creative and pragmatic with tests will also be beneficial as depending on what you're testing you might us Jest, Mocha or Jasmine. And with this product being at such an early stage, the technology is likely to change often and you'll be expected to make technical decisions to solve problems and build creative solutions.
There's the potential to make this role your own as the business grows but initially you'll need to be fully hands on with the tech and become the technical SME for the product.
You'll need to be UK based, eligible to work in the UK and be able to commute to Central London at short notice for planning meetings, workshops and socials. We anticipate this to be approx. 20% of the year but outside of that you can work from wherever you feel most comfortable and productive.
