Remote Senior PHP Developer - £50,000 + bonus

About the Role

The business has undergone a large-scale change initiative shifting towards becoming a product-led business adopting a scaled agile approach to create products that meet customer's needs, quickly and efficiently.

You will be involved in the scoping and development of products and services, such as websites and mobile apps as well as platform services, for specific target groups and end users. You will delight customers by creating WOW moments and ensure websites and applications are as efficient and pleasurable as possible.

You will work collaboratively with and provide guidance and mentorship to other team members of the product team and the wider business to ensure that products and services meet customer needs.

Product innovation is vital to the success of the business. They are shifting towards a product-led culture, and customer-centric product development represents the heart of theirmulti-disciplinary product teams.

What you'll do:

You will use your technical expertise, analytical skills and specialist software to scope out solutions within our core platform and provide a seamless experience for our customers. You will be responsible for the addition of new features to the platform along with any bug fixes that are required.

You will be responsible along with your team for defining technical documentation, ensuring that each new and existing feature has a point of reference

You will lead a small multi-talented team to provide technical detail to user stories and helping to define acceptance criteria. The team will be working in an Agile manner utilising either SCRUM or KANBAN to complete your development.

You will establish strong relationships with every team member and with your peers in the business and be a thoughtful leader, adhering to our team values and principles, and ultimately have fun.

Skillset:

  • PHP
  • Have experience working in frameworks like Doctrine, Laravel, Symphony & Dojo
  • Have experience in technical leadership
  • Have experience defining scope
  • Have experience of writing JavaScript
  • Have knowledge of NodeJS
  • Have experience in writing and consuming web services using SOAP and REST
  • Have experience using tools like Docker, Jenkins
