We work exclusively with an Tech organisation in Bath. Their product is aimed at the Developer market… They build developer tools and are the leaders in the software stability / Stability management space.

If you are into open source tech and consider yourself a bit of an evangelist, purveyor or enthusiast of open source web technologies then you'll appreciate this somewhat unusual offering;

We're looking for a Senior Web Platforms Engineer to join their team to help deliver an amazing experience to customers while contributing back to the open source community. You'll get to spend loads of time in GitHub reviewing contributions from within the team and from the open source community. You'll be working with scripting languages and backend web development environments to make developers' lives easier and attending software development conferences around the world to keep up with best practices and new technologies.

What you'll be doing:
* Help maintain libraries for Ruby, PHP, Python and JS
* Test and update libraries to work with the evolving software ecosystem, such as the web and logging frameworks, analytics SDKs, and other libraries customers may be using with their integration
* Design, build and document new features in open source libraries and expand the platforms and frameworks
* Troubleshoot issues reported by customers via GitHub
* Attend software development conferences to keep up with best practices and new technologies

Your background likely includes
  • Experience in developing applications using Ruby, PHP, Python and/or Node
  • Enthusiastic team participation with strong communication and ability to multitask
  • A systematic approach to problem solving and an eagerness to learn new skills and embrace new technologies
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a software engineer
