Job Description

Social Researcher x2 - Central Government - Fully Remote

  • DBS check before starting
  • Remote working anywhere in the UK
  • £19 to £20.40 per hour inside Ir35
  • Contractor position, Umbrella or LTd for pay
  • Take home: £2200/£2300 per month after all deductions
  • Until 31st March 2022 initially
  • Deadline: 12 noon 11th November 2021

Description of the project and work that will be carried out:

The project is part of a programme of work which is researching and exploring quality of admin and alternative data sources. The role will involve:

* Working with a small team and also collaborating wider when required
* Engaging with several individuals - both internally and externally when necessary
* Contacting other organisations as instructed by the project lead
* Desk research and collating information from several sources
* Critically evaluating these sources and reporting the findings back to the project lead
* General project support as assigned by project lead
* Qualitative and occasional quantitative analysis
* Quality assuring analysis
* Contributing towards proposals and reports
* Quality assuring proposals and reports
* Briefing project lead on articles and documents
* Present work in seminars and show and tell events
* Contribute to and quality assure presentations
* Qualitative and quantitative literature review
* Conducting systematic reviews
* Formulating / providing input on topic guide questions
* Attending meetings with stakeholders, make notes and upload them to a document
* Potential to work on a behavioural science project
