This role is going to be of interest to any Manchester based software engineers who want to work in a SaaS scale up!
You'll be joining an incredibly inclusive engineering team who have recently had two significant rounds of investment. They have significant growth plans this year with more than 10 additional hires planned!
Their current market share in their industry is 50% and they're expanding globally so this is the perfect time to join and add value in an important phase of their journey. They have spent the past couple of years integrating new end customers onto their platform and migrating everything over to Azure with tonnes of new features to be designed, planned and implemented in order for to achieve their goals. There are loads of exciting new plans in the roadmap so it's the perfect time to get involved!
You'll be working in an environment where they genuinely believe in their product and deliver it in with an ethical approach by partnering long term with their end users making constant improvements and innovating their tech to make sure that they maintain and increase their market share in new locations and with new customers.
The environment is really relaxed, inclusive and there are no egos - everybody, regardless of level or experience has a voice and is able to influence the technical direction of the core product.
There's lots for you to get involved with as soon as you join so you'll need to be proactive and have the ability to understand their code base quickly in a Lean / Kanban environment. You'll also understand the benefits of OOP, TDD, SOLID, pair programming, continuous integration whilst being pragmatic and knowing things can't always be perfect!
Providing you have a background with the following technologies you'll be able to make an impact - .NET Core, C#, .NET Framework, Git, micro services and Azure (e.g. DevOps, Storage, PaaS) but don't be put off if you don't have experience with all of the tech mentioned if you're willing to learn.
You'll get a salary of £40,000 plus opportunities to progress in a scale up environment working flexibily and remotely unless you need to be in the office for team based activities (approx. 20% of the year). You'll also get dedicated budget for learning, conferences and 10% time to do personal development, pension, mental health first aiders, private medical and dental insurance, 25 holiday days plus much more.
