Data Engineer

In the midst of a digital transformation programme, our critical public service client is in need of an experienced Data Engineer to support a major project where they’re building a modern, strategic data platform to facilitate the generation of insight from within the organisation’s data.

Your Responsibility

  • Knowledge transfer – sharing your knowledge with the incumbent team to ensure they are knowledgeable on what is required to support any solution
  • Conducting technical assessments of the current environment to support and suggest a successful roadmap for future implementation
  • Hands on development of Data Pipelines and facilitating access to identified datasets
  • Supporting the development of the Master/Common data model and the mapping of data sources to this
  • Hands on development of data storage solutions and facilitating access to this data via the analytical toolsets
  • Supporting the development of Power BI

    Network Infrastructure Engineer (Level 4)

    Our critical public service client, currently going through a large-scale digital transformation programme, is looking for a Network Support Engineer at level 4 capability to help support the new world. You’ll be the highest escalation point, working towards delivering a seamless IT service, supporting BAU and the new world.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide expert technical support to internal and external customers.
    • Contribute to an efficient and effective customer service experience.
    • Supervise and collaborate with colleagues as required.
    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality ICT services.
    • Maintain and optimize specialist networks and equipment.
    • Manage a wide range of technical areas, routing and switching, Cisco, Forcepoint and Checkpoint firewalls, Load balancers, Azure Security.

    Experience Required:

    • Extensive experience in physical and virtual team collaboration and workload management.
    • Proven ability to solve complex problems, develop solutions, and manage systems effectively.
    • Significant experience in supporting a diverse user base for hardware and software-related issues.
    • Expertise in complex issue triage, problem investigation, and coordination to resolution, including handling major incidents.
    • Substantial knowledge of routing and switching, Cisco, Forcepoint and Checkpoint firewalls, Load balancers, Azure Security

  • Design, develop and maintain new ETL capabilities in support of the business needs
  • Offer proactive support to existing ETL activity
  • Capture and translate business requirements into specifications and implement appropriate ETL jobs to provide the data required
  • Develop and document domain knowledge of key systems
  • Support the transition of ETL activities from the legacy environment to the strategic environment

Essential Skills
