Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Support Level 4 for Application and Service support to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of emergency services and be part of an inclusive working environment where your ideas and opinions matter.

The provision of application maintenance and support services, either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. Support typically includes investigation and resolution of issues and may also include performance monitoring.

Essential:

  1. Experience working within Application Support or equivalent technical role carrying out tech support Windows environment, including extensive use of Windows 10 or higher.
  2. Previous experience of working unsupervised or within a team, being self-motivated and flexible in their approach to work, as well as helping mentor less experienced colleagues.
  3. Strong problem-solving, organisation and prioritisation skills, with demonstrable ability to resolve complex issues.
  4. Extensive use of a defined Change process to bring in controlled improvements to an estate.
  5. Excellent documentation skills, with an aptitude to proactively create and maintain service documentation.

Nice to have:

  1. Experience working within the Emergency Services or equivalent
  2. ITIL Foundation Version 3
  3. Extensive experience in the use of technical tools including: Remote Desktop, Registry Editor, Powershell Scripting, Use of Active Directory to manage objects and users, Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook and Exchange.
  4. Working knowledge of automation (PDQ, SCCM, Intune, scripting) to automate the deployment of software and its dependencies.
  5. Strong Project Management experience, taking complex projects from inception to live as a technical lead, with the assistance of suppliers and business stakeholders.
  6. Familiarity with defining and understanding topology, data-mapping, connecting to and managing databases (SQL and Oracle).
