EUC Deployment Engineer

Our public sector client is looking for a Deployment Engineer to join them onsite and support the coordination and delivery initiatives related to hardware refresh of end user computer devices within the organization.

Skills and Experience
* Demonstratable experience of:
o Utilising the Service Now Platform for task and asset management
o Deploying Windows 11 devices in a corporate government environment
o Laptop build and application deployment using Intune and SCCM
o Microsoft Office 365 suite
* Experience With HP EliteBook Laptops
* Excellent customer service, for all user support types
* Able to escalate issues where possible
* Be able to communicate verbally & written standard operating procedures
* PAT Testing experience and certification
* Hardware Inventory Management experience of End User IT equipment
* Experience creating rollout and asset management plans including technical design, logistics, governance and risk considerations, and training requirements. Ability to present proposals to all levels of the organisation.
* Experience of working within a mature agile team where trust, communication, collaboration, forward thinking, workload visualisation and constructive challenge are key attributes
* Be an evangelist for our chosen technology to bring stakeholders on-side
* Create and maintain service documentation.
* Knowledge and experience of VFQ/Agile techniques including Kanban
* Experience of the wider Microsoft 365 infrastructures
* Familiarity with stock rotation techniques like FIFO (First In, First Out) or LIFO (Last In, First Out).
* Deploying Ubuntu Linux to laptops utilising Landscape

Day to Day
* Manage and coordinate the initiative to refresh ~650 laptops through the
full cycle from build through kit swap, user handholding, to asset return and disposal.
* Manage and coordinate the replacement of ~100 displays
* Complete Goods Inwards process and flow for the initiatives
* Detects and reports discrepancies, shortages, or damage promptly
* Addresses inventory challenges (e.g., locating misplaced items and dealing with any shortages).
* Keeps the stockroom and storage areas clean, organised, and well-labelled.
* Application of asset tags where required following the asset inventory process
* Post-deployment support of users who have had their laptop refreshed to resolve problems
* Knowledge share with ServiceDesk colleagues

Day to Day

* Function as technical liaison point between an external 3rd party and our internal infrastructure teams.

Our public sector client is looking for a Risk Officer to provide support the Business Assurance team in fulfilling its objectives, by understanding, reviewing and providing advice in relation to their governance (how they make decisions) and risk management (threats, uncertainties, and opportunities to achieving their objectives)

Day to Day

  • Maintain and update strategic and corporate risks (at least 1/4ly) aligned to the Corporate and Business Plans and keep Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Audit Risk & Assurance Committee (ARAC) updated with progress and any relevant changes e.g. via performance reporting or stakeholder meetings etc. .
  • Facilitate regular risk workshops to both discuss and review current risks and aid the capture of newly identified risks
  • Draft regular reporting updates for our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Audit Risk & Assurance Committee (ARAC). This may include the monthly and quarterly reporting and providing support in the creation of risk deep dive papers as required/appropriate.
  • Maintain engagement with our stakeholders to ensure risk is always on the agenda, is being regularly discussed and managed effectively.
  • Administer and update the risk team’s SharePoint site and Corporate risk portal, keeping records up to date as required, including overseeing risk mitigations/controls and activities are being progressed by owners

Our public sector client is looking for a First Line Technical Support Officer to provide support to a number of teams. This will involve diagnosing and resolving various technical issues for members of staff who are working remotely within the field. You will also be responsible for helping build, test and dispatch equipment for new and existing staff.

Key Skills and Experience
* Experience in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving user requests/incidents.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to instruct and explain information simply to a non-technical audience.
* Experience of working with a range of Microsoft 365 services

Day to Day
* Diagnose technical issues affecting remote members of staff.
