Datix Support and Administration Officer

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will assume the role of Systems Support and Administration Officer, providing crucial assistance to the Incident and Datix Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Incident and Datix Manager in developing, reconfiguring, and testing the Datix system to meet evolving local and national needs.
  • Work with key teams across the Trust to advance the local patient safety incident response framework and monitor Patient Safety Incident Investigations.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of training packages using diverse methods for various staff groups.
  • Provide daily support to all Datix users, acting as a point of contact for incident reporting/reviewing.
  • Assist in the development of Datix form design and coordinate system upgrades and testing.
  • Create, review, and maintain guide sheets and the Datix intranet page.
  • Conduct compliance audits, monitor data quality, and participate in data cleansing activities.
  • Generate Datix reports and follow up on open incidents.

Essential Requirements:

  • Specialist knowledge of Datix.
  • ECDL certification.
  • Previous experience in the NHS.
  • Knowledge of incident reporting systems/systems administration.
  • Specialist knowledge of Risk Management and Governance Arrangements.
  • Previous experience as a systems administrator.
  • Demonstrable IT skills, including data entry, word processing, spreadsheets, and Internet usage.
  • Analysis and report writing skill.
