In doing so the post holder will also support contract performance management monitoring and attend contract meetings etc. Additionally, they will provide support on contractual issues arising working in conjunction with the Commercial (Contracts and Procurement) team.

* To assist in the updating of the contracts register held by Commercial. Create and maintain a

software renewals database. Monitor and undertake software renewals including assessing licencing models to identify optimal purchasing routes. Undertake and contribute to procurement activities including obtaining quotations, further competitions and tender exercises noting that any formal tenders above £50k will be managed by Commercial.

  • Produce regular highlight reports against task delivery to an agreed quality and standard, both for internal project performance reviews and for stakeholder engagement meetings;
  • Ensure controls are in place for managing Scope, Costs and delivery timeline;
  • Be a recognised point of contact for DDaT change delivery, offering project management assurance and ensuring customer satisfaction;
  • Manage relevant project risks, benefits realisation, and lessons learnt;
  • Ensure that all delivery milestones are met in accordance with the project plan;
  • Coordinate the alignment of any interdependencies for the project, especially when considering multiple sustainment or adaptive changes alongside larger packages of work being delivered by DDaT;
  • Adopt recognised project management best practices (APM, Prince2, Agile or similar)
  • Forecast the demand for technical resources throughout the delivery of the change project, and ensure that DDaT Managers agree to commit their resources to meet this demand;
  • Contribute to new project procedures or policies, and support their successful implementation in order to steer project management best practice approaches across the team;
  • Ensure the team continually promote the DDaT function through engaging with stakeholders wherever possible;

As a Senior Project Manager you will have following experience;

Essential;

  • Industry recognised ProjectManagement certification
  • Experience delivering multiple complex IT projects
  • A degree or equivalent experience
  • A working knowledge of project management best practices within a fast-paced IT environment
  • Microsoft Project
  • Experienced in financial Mgmt.

Desirable:

  • Project Management practitioner
  • PPMO experience
