DevOps Engineer (AWS/Azure)

Central Government (BPSS eligible)

Hybrid/Remote - Newcastle

6 months initially

£612 per day Inside IR35

Our Central Government client requires a strong DevOps engineer for a 6 month initial contract on a new public programme. You will be responsible for all aspects of deployment and environments management to CI/CD pipelines and will be closely involved with integrations across platform and other product teams.

At this role level, you will:

transform technical requirements into an effective DevOps toolchain to enable product delivery

Work to the technical standards of the broader engineering function

ensure that deployment strategies for products are repeatable, scalable and highly available

have deep technical knowledge, providing support to delivery teams and solving complex problems

It is essential to have experience of the following technologies:

AWS / Azure

CI / CD (Ideally GitLab)

Containerisation (Docker)

Container Orchestration (Kubernetes)

IaC (Terraform)

Scripting Languages (Such as Python, Bash, Shell etc)

Monitoring & Observability (Kibana / Grafana / Prometheus)

You will need to be eligible to go through BPSS and have a proven track record of working in a DevOps capacity in a Government department

£600.00 - £612.00 / hr
