In August 2019, with great ambition to create a digitally enabled police-force whether operating on the front-line or in positions of strategic leadership, West Mercia engaged Talent to help secure a number of key hires for its technology division.
Working with our dedicated public sector recruitment team, we were able to secure 14 permanent hires for tech and digital roles. All of the hires were onboarded within 7 months of briefing.

Key to market attraction was the development of the Employee Value Proposition and the creation of a dedicated careers website showcasing the positive attributes of the organisation, including in-depth interviews with key stakeholders.
Our unique data insights allowed West Mercia Police to create an enticing package while a multicampaign ensured maximum reach.
Through headhunting approaches within targeted talent pools, Talent ensured touchpoints within excess of 250 candidates.
Thorough pre-screening and vetting processes ensured effective shortlists for a rigorous panel interview, which improved the selection process to one in every two candidates presented being offered.
